About Resilience Strata Research & Action Forum

Resilience Strata Research and Action Forum (RS) formed by individuals of commitment with a combined experience of over six decades in relevant areas is launched in 2018 under section (8) 1 of the Companies Act, 2013 of Government of India is a company with an intension to apply its profit, if any, or other income and property in promoting its objects and prohibits the payment of any dividend to its members.

It is a trust model to rejuvenate and guard sustainable habitats for community usage. It is serving as a critical catalyst for a number of highly successful, sustainable development projects that integrate a multitude of communal systems.

RS is committed to resilience development envisioned and driven by the communities themselves. Though it evolves with the learning from each project, its strategic focus remains constant: To create, implement and share a model for nurturing resilient habitat that is proven to perform.

MISSION

To accomplish the vision, we will : Build sustainable community partnerships / Create resources and capacity building programs / Improve the redundancy and reliability of infrastructure / Advocate for research-based polices and action.

OBJECTIVES

  • To Identify climate change impacts, vulnerability and adaptation needs in urban settlements
  • To assess the impact of sea-level rise, heavy precipitation, extreme temperature, landslides, tropical cyclone, etc. on basic urban infrastructure (water, sewerage, solid waste management, drainage), transport, and built environment.
  • To Evaluate the cost of impacts on water, sewerage, solid waste management, drainage, transport, and built environment.
  • To assess the institutional functions and capacities in dealing with climate change impacts, including with urban flooding particularly flash flooding.
  • To mainstream climate change adaptation in urban policies and urban governance systems.
  • To enhance capacities of city authorities to plan and implement mitigation and adaptation measures.
  • To guide City-level climate change adaptation and mitigation measures for priority sectors.
  • To Increase awareness on low carbon and climate resilient city development in India and other countries.
  • To carry all kinds of study, survey, research related to environment, climate change, social impacts, societies, cities, states, nations, resilience and lifestyle.
  • To carry all kinds of information gathering /collecting, analysis and dissipation related to international, national, state policies which may have impact on human life directly and/or indirectly
  • To involve in activities of dealing in products/services related to environment, climate change, resilience, smart cities etc.
  • To involve in activities of sharing knowhow related to manufacturing / producing such equipment and/or processes which can fulfil any and/or part of the objectives mentioned as here
  • To carry knowledge sharing with similar peers / companies/organisation / institute / govt.-semi, govt. departments to take knowledge economy in the domain of environment, climate change, resilience and smart cities
